• Giving Machine Volunteers Wanted – This is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer as a host of the Giving Machine on December 5th at La Encantada Mall in Tucson. You can be a host for the Giving Machine itself or share your singing and musical talents with those who come to donate. Training will be in November. Please contact Emileigh Fischer at 520-508-8624 by October 5th if you are interested.

• Missionary Menu Focus - September: Fast and Pray for Missionary Efforts.  See the Missionary Menu in the Missionary section of the Organization page.

• Resource Center Materials: Keeping in mind the 5 minute transition between sacrament meeting and Sunday school, please try to get your materials before sacrament meeting.  The resource center should be open before and after sacrament meeting.

• Tithing Declaration: Individuals and families may sign up for Tithing Declaration using SignUp.com to meet with Bishop Lambson. Slots will be available after Sunday meetings, for one month at a time. Instructions: 1) Click this link to to SignUp: https://signup.com/go/CqLeTqy 2) Review the options listed and choose the spot you like. Families only need to select one slot for all of you to meet together. 3) You will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on SignUp, but you will need your email address. 4) If you need assistance, please ask any member of the Bishopric. Tithing Declaration will run until the end of the December but has begun early to reduce demands on families' time during precious and sacred holiday seasons. Members may download or print their monthly and annual statements through donations.ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Thank you for your generosity with your tithes and offerings and willingness to meet with the bishop to declare your status.

• Sunday, 27 September: Fast Sunday in lieu of the first Sunday in October due to General Conference.

• Sunday, 27 September, 6:00 p.m., Stake Mission Preparation Class: This will take place at President Evershed's home.  He and his wife will be the teachers. They will hold it over 8 different Sunday nights and plan to conclude the classes on November 22nd.   Where: Evershed Home - 5244 S. Whitewing Rd, Sierra Vista, AZ. Who can attend?: Juniors and Seniors but will give preference to Seniors, especially those who are planning to serve within the next year. How many can attend?: We'll cap class to 20 youth so please sign up soon! • 3-4 October: General Conference.  We invite all to join as we hear the word of God during the upcoming 196th Semiannual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The First Presidency, members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and other General Authorities and General Officers of the Church will share messages of the gospel of Jesus Christ. General sessions for all individuals, families, and friends will be held on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4. General conference provides an opportunity to receive personal revelation as Church leaders give counsel and direction from the Lord. • Wednesday, 7 October, 6:00 p.m.: Activity Day-Boys. We will be playing a version of Capture the Flag in the Cultural Hall. Lots of running around for fun. See you there.

• Saturday, 10 October, 4:00 p.m.: Fall Fun Fair – Oct 10th from 4-6pm at the Stake Center. Bring your family and friends to enjoy games, activities and food. For questions please contact Madeleine Yanez at 520-473-6204.

• Saturday, 24 October, 8:00-10:30 p.m. - Fall Hoe Down with the St. David Stake: at the Sierra Vista stake center.  For youth 14+. Two stakes, one dance floor, and a full country night — games, food, and a DJ.

• Sunday, 25 October, 10:30 a.m.: Ward Primary Program.  Our children have worked hard to prepare words and songs. Feel free to invite friends and family to see the children share what they've learned in Primary this year.

• Wednesday, 28 October: Tri-Ward Trunk-or-Treat.  More details will follow, but this multi-ward event at the Avenida Del Sol building will take the place of activities for that week.  

• Saturday, November 7, 6:00 p.m. - Stake Youth Fall Talent Show: Sing it, play it, dance it, or make us laugh - if it's a talent, we want to see it. Start thinking about your act now.

• Salt Lake Temple Celebration Theme and 2027 Youth Theme: As the Salt Lake Temple prepares to reopen following its historic renovation, Church members and friends worldwide are invited to participate in the Salt Lake Temple Celebration from April 5 through October 1, 2027. The celebration theme, “Rejoice in Christ” (see Philippians 4:4), will also serve as the 2027 youth theme, creating a unified invitation for members around the world to focus on Jesus Christ and the blessings of His holy house.

• Youth Protection Training: Instructors of children and youth, please remember to complete Youth Protection training. It takes less than 20 minutes and is available at https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/callings/safety/protecting-children-and-youth . Use your Church Login. When completed your training status will be updated. Thank you!

• Parents of Primary-age children: We are learning the Articles of Faith and are encouraging the children to memorize them. Your home is the most effective place for memorization to happen. Those children who memorize the Articles of Faith will receive a prize for their efforts. Thank you for your help and support with this!

• First and Third Wednesdays of each month: Primary Girls' Activities at 6:00 p.m.

• Thursdays, 6:30 p.m.: Empty Nesters "Come Follow Me" study group.  If you are interested, contact Linda Flynn or Carmen Benedict.

• YSA Branch meetings at the Taylor building, Sundays, 12:00 p.m.

• YSA Institute and Activities.  Wednesdays and Thursdays.  See the Organization Info page for more information.  There is much happening for Tucson's YSA at the Institute building. There are links to sign up for daytime institute class, or drop in for one of the evening institute classes. Some newly-formed clubs to check out are boxing, mountain biking and a couple of creative workshops. See details at www.tucsonysa.org. • Ward Roster Pictures: Brothers and Sisters, we are trying to update everyone's pictures and information on Member Tools.  We feel this is very important for helping all of us to better fulfill our callings, as well as ministering and fellowshipping.  If you have the ability to do it yourself, please get this done as soon as possible.  If you do not have the ability to do this, or do not have the time or desire, then we are here to help you.  

• Temple recommend interviews with Bishop Lambson.  Contact our Executive Secretary, Brother Monte Matheson (480-628-6024) to make an appointment.

• Stake temple recommend interviews: First and third Thursdays from 7-8 pm.  Please see Stake calendar.  For non-temple recommend interviews, please text Brother Tyler Molesworth, the Stake Executive Secretary: 520-732-8813.  

• Mobile Temple Recommends (optional): Members worldwide now have the option of having their temple recommend on a mobile device, rather than on paper.  Please see the Church's info page for device operating system and Member Tools app version information.  A member of the bishopric can help you if interested. 

• Sierra Vista Stake Social Media: We're on social media! You can access the page by searching for it on your Facebook page and click Follow. By following the Stake Facebook page, you can see information about Stake events, activities, Missionary callings and more.
